Memories from the Past

The years fly by so quickly! Thanksgiving is around the corner and the holiday season is upon us. Blackfeet Outfitters is grateful for all of our clients that we’ve served over the years. Here is a note from a former client that is worth sharing on our blog page. Thank you for your kind words, Patty!

We met about 8 years ago when my husband Karl and I were visiting Glacier (St. Mary) for a wedding. It was Labor Day weekend, I think 2011. On my bucket list was to fly fish in Canada. Well when we were all out at the lake you took us to, I was able to turn around and see the fence at the top of the hill, indicating the boarder. Close enough for me! Check! Though I was not the natural angler, you were so very patient in your instruction. I loved every minute. Even when Karl and the rest of the group (I believe your wife, friend Dee? and her husband and someone's child...sorry some of the details have escaped me) were the ones catching all the fish. I could not see them while you and I worked together, but could hear them from time to time. Probably high-fiveing when they landed a fish. We still hobby fish to this day.
I wish I could say we were headed back your way one day soon but that is not in the plans right now. Our son in law has a very good friend, John, in Whitefish. He is originally from W and he hunts and fish's. I will have to refer he and his wife to you if he is not already aware. I have referred another friend just recently, Amy, and I hope she and her husband will contact you in the future.
We speak of our experience with you all often and have never forgotten the most excellent fish taco's at the end of the day. What a special treat! I have a picture (from a Christmas card?) somewhere from Dee and her family. I will have to dig that out again.
Be well and thank you for the great memories.
